LUPITA NYONG'O IS RED HOT IN PARIS MATCH MAGAZINE

Lupita Nyong’o Is The Ultimate Lady In Red For Paris Match » By Anna Quintana | March 10, 2015 4:00 pm Tags: Lupita Nyong'o 0 Comments Photo: Paris Match Just when you thought Lupita Nyong’o couldn’t get any hotter, she proves us wrong. Called the “sun of Hollywood,” Paris Match Magazine interviewed the “12 Years a Slave” star right after her Oscar dress fiasco, and talked to the Oscar winner about her new campaign with Lancôme, her childhood in Kenya and being one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. In the magazine, Nyong’o poses for a photo in a red dress, with Times Square as the backdrop and looks every bit the movie star. The original article is in French, but not all is lost in translation (thanks Google!). Some of the highlights of the story included when Nyong’o spoke about her insecurities growing up in Kenya, and not always thinking she was beautiful. When asked about joining the Lancôme club of Kate Winslet, Julia Roberts and Penelope Cruz as the first African American ambassador, the 32-year-old spoke about the importance of diversity in beauty and being inspired by Sudanese model Alek Wek. Of course, the Yale graduate was compared to President Obama, another famous Kenyan American, who Nyong’o met last year at the Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington D.C. And despite her success, Nyong’o admits to missing her anonymity, and being to stop and listen to musicians on the streets of New York, but she wouldn’t trade the freedom to choose her roles.
